Accommodation options for the IEA Conference in Galway

The conference venue is the Institute for Life Course and Society building on Newcastle Road which is located in the north campus of NUI Galway. Galway has a large number of options for accommodation. The venue is a 35 minute walk from the city centre or Salthill. Below are some hotels that are very close or relatively close to the conference venue. All delegates are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. 30th Annual Irish Economic Association Conference

The 30th Annual Irish Economic Association Conference will be held at NUI Galway on Thursday May 5th and Friday May 6th, 2016.

Brendan Kennelly (brendan.kennelly@nuigalway.ie) and John McHale (john.mchale@nuigalway.ie) are the local organizers.

The Edgeworth Lecture will be given by  Professor Markus Brunnermeier (Princeton University) and the ESR guest lecture by Professor Caroline Hoxby (Stanford University).

The Association invites submissions of papers to be considered for the conference programme. Papers may be on any area in Economics, Finance and Econometrics.

The deadline for submitted articles is the 7th of February 2016 and submissions can be made through http://iea2016.exordo.com/

The ESR guest lecture will be given by Professor Christopher Udry(Yale University) and the Edgeworth Lecture by Professor Giancarlo Corsetti (University of Cambridge).

The programme for the conference has been completed and those who submitted papers are currently being informed of the status of their submission. A full programme will be available soon on this site.

The Twenty-seventh annual conference of the Irish Economic Association will be held on 9th and 10th May, 2013 at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

The 2013 Conference will run over 2 days, starting at 9am on the morning of Thursday 9th, and finishing before 7pm on Friday 10th.
