The 31st Annual Irish Economic Association Conference will be held in the Institute of Banking in Dublin on Thursday May 4th and Friday May 5th, 2017.

The ESR guest lecture will be given by Professor Deirdre McCloskey (University of Illinois at Chicago) and the Edgeworth Lecture by Professor John Muellbauer (University of Oxford).

The Association invites submissions of papers to be considered for the conference programme. Papers may be on any area in Economics, Finance or Econometrics.

The deadline for submitted articles is the 7th of February 2017 and submissions can be made through https://iea2017.exordo.com

The 30th Annual Irish Economic Association Conference will be held at NUI Galway on Thursday May 5th and Friday May 6th, 2016.

Registration is now open. Those wishing to register can do so by following the instructions here.

The early registration fee (on or before April 22nd) is €100 and €35 respectively for staff and students belonging to a member institution or with individual membership and  €200 and €70 respectively for staff and students who are non-members. Details of Institutional membership can be found here.

Accommodation options for the IEA Conference in Galway

The conference venue is the Institute for Life Course and Society building on Newcastle Road which is located in the north campus of NUI Galway. Galway has a large number of options for accommodation. The venue is a 35 minute walk from the city centre or Salthill. Below are some hotels that are very close or relatively close to the conference venue. All delegates are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. The 30th Annual Irish Economic Association Conference will be held at NUI Galway on Thursday May 5th and Friday May 6th, 2016.

The Edgeworth Lecture will be given by  Professor Markus Brunnermeier (Princeton University) and the ESR guest lecture by Professor Caroline Hoxby (Stanford University).

The ESR guest lecture will be given by Professor Christopher Udry(Yale University) and the Edgeworth Lecture by Professor Giancarlo Corsetti (University of Cambridge).

The programme for the conference has been completed and those who submitted papers are currently being informed of the status of their submission. A full programme will be available soon on this site.

The Twenty-seventh annual conference of the Irish Economic Association will be held on 9th and 10th May, 2013 at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

The 2013 Conference will run over 2 days, starting at 9am on the morning of Thursday 9th, and finishing before 7pm on Friday 10th. Accommodation will be available at the Glenroyal hotel, but must be booked separately from the main conference registration. Click for the Conference Schedule and Booking Form.
